The battery-operated cassette tape records live audio which can be played back.

Tape only, the tape recorders must be purchased separately.

⚠️ : Contains 1x lithium coin battery. For safety purposes, the battery is enclosed and non replaceable
⚠️ : The entire cassette should be disposed in battery recycling when the battery runs out

Fun toy but very disappointing approach to sustainability

My kids love to play with this toy and have spent many hours recording themselves. The battery just died, and now Kiko advises that it be thrown away and a new one purchased. I used a knife to cut open the cassette to find 2 simple CR2032 batteries. These batteries are ubiquitous and very cheap. Why would you design a product that needs to be entirely thrown away, rather than simply allowing customers to replace the batteries? The amount of waste is baffling.
